Is that an Easter egg….or a blueberry…or a stability ball…or a baby?!
This was my baby bump after filming a pregnancy workout yesterday for Mirror Mirror TV with Rebecca Spera. I’m pretty sure my belly grew an inch yesterday. Kent and I could not believe how much I seemed to pop out just yesterday alone. We just laughed. It’s like I have a basketball under my shirt.
At 3.5 weeks out from my due date, I really am happy with how my first pregnancy has gone. I made a vow to myself early on to stay as healthy and active as possible and I’ve done just that.
No matter how many people told me to quit working out and “eat whatever you want,” I am glad I’m stubborn and stuck to a clean meal plan and my workouts. I believe there is a time to indulge and a time to eat for your goals. I always like to have a plan. I have been miserable with my body before and made a promise to myself to NEVER go there again. Determination is a POWERFUL thing.
I have gained about 25-27 pounds with my pregnancy and I honestly feel great. I’m tired, but great. I am writing my book on how I stayed fit and healthy throughout my pregnancy and have documented every workout. I hope it will help some of you, so stay tuned! I appreciate all of your support on my journey. I am really looking forward to seeing my baby girl’s face for the first time.
My fitness goals for 2014 will center around building muscle. When you are pregnant, your baby gets most of your nutrients. I am happy with the shape I’ve maintained through my pregnancy, but I do feel a little “skinny” where muscle is concerned. Wait! Did I just use “pregnancy” and “skinny” in the same sentence?! Haha!
I am looking forward to my book photo shoot this weekend with Bryan Anderson. Hopefully baby Brinkley will stay put a few more days! You have to have a baby bump in a pregnancy book, right?!
Until my next update, eat clean and follow your dreams! Love, Kelsey (and Brinkley)
