I hope my story resonates with you and you are able to relate it to your own struggles and fight to overcome them. Just because something doesn’t come easy, doesn’t mean we can’t have it.
I am honored to be invited to join the No Excuse movement by Maria Kang. This woman motivated me long before her “What’s Your Excuse” photo went viral. I thought, “Wow! This woman motivates the heck out of me.” I only hoped I could keep fitness and health a priority once I had a baby.
Here I am two years later, still making my goals and dreams my reality. This year I am launching my own business, along with two new workout plans.
Is it easy? No. Can I do it? Yes. Everyone is busy. No one has time. You have to MAKE time for what’s most important. Sometimes life happens and workout time gets pushed aside. That’s okay. Guess what? Your results are 80% nutrition. You have to eat, right?
My baby is my REASON for being healthy. Not my excuse for being unhealthy.
Truth: someone once told me, “You’ll never get your fit body back after you have a baby.” My baby is now a year old and not only am I back in my pre-pregnancy jeans, I finished my Master’s degree in December, which was a huge goal for me. I am so proud of my 2014 accomplishments because I grew one amazing little person and life “broke me in” as a new mom. I have learned so much and will forever be a student of life.
Never feel like you’re too old to quit learning. I will turn 33 this week and I still haven’t even scratched the surface. I love this movement because it represents so many amazing hard working families that “fit it all in” and never give up.
The fact is, there are people busier than me making it work. We all have the same 24 hours in a day.
How will you use it?
Start your life.
