Happy new year, friends! I hope you had a fun and safe new year's eve. We certainly did. My family went out to eat with friends and came back to our house to put our pj's on, play games and chat. Then we did this little project! For you coffee and tea lovers, this is a perfect project for you. It was so much fun!
If you drink coffee or tea daily, this is a perfect reminder of your new year's resolutions or short/long term goals. This is similar to a vision board. If you keep your goals in front of you daily, you have no choice but to work on them, right?
I hope you have as much fun making these as we did!
What you need:
Oil based Sharpie paint markers - I bought mine at Hobby Lobby
Plain white mugs - I bought mine at Target for $1.99
First, write down your goals on a piece of paper so you can organize your thoughts. You can even reference Pinterest for a fun design like we did. I chose to add leopard print to my mug! It turned out so cute.
Design your mug using the Sharpie markers. Once you are satisfied with your design, place your mug in the oven. Then, preheat the oven to 350 degrees (while the mug is in it). Next, bake for 30 minutes and leave the mug in the oven as it cools down. This will help avoid cracks in your mug. Remove your mug from the oven once it has completely cooled and wash with soap and water before using.
