Hi Fit Family! I am so excited to announce my latest challenge winner! I also decided to recognize a special lady for her success with my programs over the last two years. I hope their results inspire you like they inspire me!
Lindsay A. won 1st place in my 6-Week Spring challenge. She dropped 10 pounds and 9.75 inches!
Question: What were your goals in the beginning before starting the challenge?
Answer: My goal was to lose 8-12 pounds. I landed right in the middle at 10 pounds down and I am very happy!
Question: What goals did you achieve by completing this challenge?
Answer: My goal was to stay hyper-focused on good nutrition because I really wanted to see how far clean eating could take me for this challenge. Typically, if I’m eating clean I allow myself to have a “Cheat Meal” on the weekend. Aside from my sisters Engagement dinner party a few weeks ago I did not allow myself to have any “cheat meals” on the weekend. Even when I went out to dinner with family I ordered healthy meals like salmon with asparagus and did not touch the bread on the table. Also, I feel like I was more prepared for this challenge. I made sure to consistently go grocery shopping every Sunday to buy fresh fruits, vegetables and snacks to have in stock during the week. Furthermore, I used my new vegetable steamer instead of eating frozen vegetables. Preparation was one of the keys to my success this time around.
Question: How did you stay motivated during your journey?
1. Checking in everyday and participating on facebook. I love learning and sharing!
2. Watching all of the videos you posted. I always feel more motivated after I watch them because it reminds me to keep moving forward!
3. Discovering my “why” and keeping the end goal in mind
Question: What was the most important part of this program in your opinion?
Answer: Taking the journey with other like-minded people and being inspired and motivated along the way. Many times, the fitness journey can be a very lonely one that other people don’t “get” or understand. For example, during the week I work out by myself at the gym, shop for healthy food by myself and when eating out will be the only one ordering a healthy meal at the table with friends and family eating tempting foods next to me. The journey is so much more fun when you can share it with other people and get advice along the way in order to make improvements. What I love the most about your challenge is that it brings us all together… because together we are STRONGER women!

I first started your challenges back in 2016. I was a little over 170 pounds a year after having my second child. I was 215 pounds the day I delivered him, and a year later I made it down to 170 and took my first before pictures. 2 challenges later and I didn’t have any “after” pictures. Well, now I have done 4 total challenges and now I’m repeating your 6 week shape up with a few modifications that I am making!
