Hello friends! It’s been awhile since I’ve blogged. Between home life, work life and the pandemic, things have been interesting. I’ve received lots of messages on social media asking what I recommend for a home gym. Truth be told, you don’t need a lot to get started. Below I have listed the things I am using to stay active. I also have a treadmill that I’ve had for YEARS. It helps me get some steps in after I’ve been sitting all day for work.

The good news is, we CAN get fit from home but having the right equipment to challenge yourself is important. You can invest in a few inexpensive items to get started and always build from there. I love knowing that I don’t have to leave the house to get in a good workout! Keep in mind, availability of these items may vary depending on market demand. The * represents my non-negotiables.

RECOMMENDED HOME EQUIPMENT
*Dumbbells – I prefer the neoprene but there are other great options.I do most of my workouts using 5, 8, 10, 12 & 15 pound dumbbells.
*Jump rope – this is a great option for cardio.
*Resistance Loop Bands – I have these and use them often.
Under $20! Peach bands and LetsFit are my faves!
*Resistance band set with door anchor – this is a must! I use these every workout. Peach bands or Tribe.
Optional: you can invest in a bench but it isn’t a necessity. You can always use a stability ball, or couch/chair that reclines for incline movements.
Barbell – I like the pre-weighted bars but it depends on your preference and your budget. I have a 20 pound bar and use it often. Here is another option if you’d like a barbell you can load with weights.

Let me know if you find any good deals or products/equipment that you love!
Sending positive vibes your way!
